CHSLD Bayview

Bayview is a private, long-term care center under contract to the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services. The same services as a public establishment are provided but are managed by private owners. Bayview is located in the West Island community of Montreal and provides a permanent residence for 128 adults who require assistance and support with their activities of daily living.

Our services extend on a continuum of care from admission to end of life. We are designated as an English language service provider as well as offering bilingual services. Staff ratios are in compliance with MSSS guidelines.

Bayview has 4 care units, one of which is specific for residents with cognitive disorders. The goal of the special care unit (3rd floor)is to provide a safe and engaging living environment or all residents living with dementia.

There are 32 residents per care unit, each comprising a nursing station, a dining room, a shower/bath suite and a common area. Rooms are private, with the exception of one semi-private room per unit. Each room is approximately 180 sq. ft. (not including the bathroom) and is equipped with a call bell directly connected to the Nursing Station, an adapted bed, a dresser, a nightstand and an over-the-bed table.
