We are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our assisted living team in the Phoenix Arizona area who wants to make a difference in the lives of our residents/patients, their families and our community.
- Ensures that physical and environmental conditions of the facility meet the established standards and any applicable laws
- Maintains resident rooms in good repair with all operational equipment
- Leads and manages maintenance staff if applicable
- Maintains all HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems in good repair and in compliance with all state and federal life and safety regulations
- Is proactive in expense control and budget adherence
- Manages third party vendors as necessary on projects that cannot be handled by maintenance staff
- Keeps updated on new regulations and restrictions concerning maintenance procedures and/or health, life safety and environment
- Assists with maintenance of current emergency action procedures and plans
- Arranges testing and inspections of all equipment and life safety systems
Required Skills
- Deals tactfully with employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public
- Works systematically, shows initiative and follows through on goals without continuous supervision or guidance
- Communicates well with residents and staff
- Reads, speaks and understands the English language
Required Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years' related experience
- Must be knowledgeable in NFPA & OSHA rules and regulations
- Possesses an EPA Universal certification or is eligible to obtain the certificate
