Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a positive physical and social environment for our residents
- Working closely with the Dining Services Director
- Ordering food for the community
- Preparing and delivering food as well as sanitizing kitchen and equipment
- Ensuring food is prepared in a nutritional and appetizing fashion
- Maintaining supplies and equipment
- Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of commercial cooking experience
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the general public
- Flexibility with schedule
- Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly
- Must meet all health requirements, including TB, and pass background checks
