Job description
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining an awareness of the specific needs of each client as to provide individualized service that meets and exceed expectations;
- Maintaining cleanliness of entire building, including common areas; including: parking area, exterior of building, emptying common area waste receptacles, cleaning stairwell, vacuuming, cleaning common washrooms, replenishing supplies and other duties as required;
- Working as an integral part of a dedicated team in maintaining a clean, healthy environment for our clients;
- Ability to do heavy and light duty cleaning and some laundry attendant duties;
- Providing quality housekeeping and laundry services to our clients in a timely and efficient manner while meeting established standards;
- Respecting and protecting client confidentiality;
- Understanding and demonstrating safe practices at all times.
- Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work area;
- Maintains and cooperates with facility Policies and Procedures, Fire & Emergency plan, WHMIS, Infection Control, Health & Safety and any other required by the facility;
Requirements Include:
- High School/ GED completion
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in commercial housekeeping and/or laundry
- Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours/shifts inclusive of weekdays, weekends, and holidays
The following would be considered assets:
- Alzheimer’s or Other Dementias Care Course
- Previous experience working with seniors or in a seniors’ living environment
- CPR & First Aid Certificate
