As a positive and active contributor, your key duties will include:
- Engaging in the relationship-selling process with each prospect and their family, including setting appointments and conducting tours
- Developing and managing a network of local referral sources
- Coordinating all outreach events including trade shows, community seminars, sponsorship and other special events
- Reviewing the database to identify and follow-up on leads from all sources, while creating sales strategies for prospective community members and families
- Practicing the established V!VA sales approach to track and follow-up with referrals
- Recording sales and updating list of prospects and community organizations, using V!VA's customer relations management software (Salesforce)
- Managing a budget in accordance with the Community Outreach and Sales Plan
- Performing competitive analysis, including monitoring market competition and territory conditions
- Managing inventory and ordering promotional materials
- Contributing local insights for the strategic planning of all marketing and leasing initiatives
- Suggesting media and advertising opportunities
- Educating the general community about the services and value of V!VA Retirement Communities
- Establishing timely, open and effective communication to all families, community associates, and members, ensuring that all expectations are met or exceeded
- Assisting in the development and implementation of the annual marketing budget and management plan
- Maintaining V!VA’s high standard of excellent customer service and constructive relationship to the public, while achieving occupancy goals set for the community
- Assisting in the preservation of V!VA Mississauga's image, safety and cleanliness, for guests and prospective family and Community Members
- Participating in all in-service training and education programs, as scheduled
For this role, we are seeking someone with previous experience working in the retirement living sector and direct experience working with seniors.
Previous experience in a sales or marketing role will serve you well as you must have proven ability to meet/exceed sales or occupancy targets. Highly motivated and self-driven, you will demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
You will also have:
- A post-secondary education in business or a related discipline (asset)
- The ability to bend, stretch, lift, sit and stand for long periods
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- A valid Class G driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- The ability to work a flexible schedule (weekends and evenings, if required)
