Director of Staff Development, Career opportunity in Stockton, California

La Salette Health and Rehabilitation Center, a 116 bed skilled nursing facility (owned and operated by Five Star Senior Living) is seeking a Director of Staff Development.

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
 

• Employee orientation and training
• Directing and scheduling refresher training as necessary for assigned staff and licensed professional personnel
• Planning, scheduling and posting a monthly calendar of educational programs
• Developing and evaluating employee programs
• Infection Control Nurse
• Overseeing the Restorative Nursing Program (R.N.A.)
• Maintaining current knowledge of facility practice guidelines and state/federal regulations
• Written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing or Executive Director concerning in-service training programs

Director of Staff Development qualifications:

• An RN or LVN license is required
• 2 year degree
• 2+ years of similar experience in a skilled nursing environment
• Excellent organizational skills and strong communication skills
