Job description
We are seeking an accomplished leader to ensure effective, efficient and safe clinical care services for residents within Signature Retirement Living Properties in Alberta and Ontario based on best practices and quality improvement initiatives, and in compliance with RHRA, and AHS Contracts and related Standards and Licensing requirements.
This position is directly accountable for establishing a corporate culture which supports continuous quality improvement in service delivery to clients and families, and a continuous investment in staff development in support of staff retention and continuity of care for clients. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the development and maintenance of clinical systems, standards, policies and procedures at both a Community, regional and corporate level.
- Develop, implement, and monitor the care staff budget at each site to ensure a safe level of clinical care resources, and meeting AHS funding accountabilities, while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
- Lead the translation of clinical best practices, AH Continuing Care Health Service Standards and Alberta Health Services policies, tools, forms, systems and resources into site based practices.
- Manage the Pharmacy contracts and liaises with Pharmacy Provider on contractual issues/concerns.
- Provide support and clinical guidance to Resident Care Manager, Clinical Resource Nurse and/or Executive Director on complex client situations, as needed.
- Foster strong relationships with care-related stakeholders; residents and families, site staff, Alberta Health Services, Alberta Health, legislative authorities, contractors, etc.
- Acts as a Corporate Representative at resident, family, staff and AHS committee meetings, as requested or as needed.
