The Palms at Fort Myers, is a 60 Assisted Living, 20 ALZ, 80 Independent Unit Retirement Community with a home like atmosphere. We are currently seeking an Executive Sous Chef.

This individual will be responsible for:

• Prepares and serves all meals for assigned shifts including special events
• Assists the Food and beverage director
• Check menus daily for any advance preparation
• Portion control, following the menus and time schedules along with plate presentation
• Supervision of dining personnel engaged in specialty cooking, preparation
• Consistently provide a fine dining experience to residents of the senior living community

Responsibilities

Atria is currently seeking a high energy Life Guidance Director / Memory Care Director to join our team at Atria Walnut Creek in Walnut Creek, CA. Our Memory Care Director is responsible for ensuring that the Atria philosophy is implemented and practiced within the Memory Care Neighborhood of the community with special emphasis on "Sharing the Way" with our residents, and on mentoring, coaching and training staff. The Memory Care Director will also assist with marketing efforts to grow occupancy in the Memory Care Neighborhood and support family members through communication and education.

• Plan and organize daily events, including: calendar creation, monthly staff training, quarterly family functions, monthly support group and community outreach.
• Conduct and monitor individual resident's history and preference documentation, service plans, appropriate program offerings for large and small groups, as well as, specialized individual needs/interests.
• Maintain a proactive and person-centered approach to challenging resident behaviors.
• Supervise staff while coaching, mentoring and training them in accordance to the Atria philosophy of "Sharing the Way Moment by Moment"
• Continuously evaluate the program by utilizing quality enhancement tools and customer feedback, which may necessitate improving the program to meet the ever-changing needs of the clientele.
• Support and actively participate in the programs census building initiatives: event hosting, external and internal program presentations, volunteering on boards of prominent potential referral sources.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate all the functions of the Administrative Department, including supervising a staff of Front Desk Receptionists.
• Manage the Payroll and Accounting functions at the community including: bi-weekly payroll (ADP) for all associates, daily bank deposits, resident statements and accounts, collections efforts, processing vendor invoices.
• Monitor the income and expense expectations/budget of the Administration Department and assist with that of the community.
• Complete recruiting functions for all line-staff including: hiring, references/v.o.e., pre-employment testing, and on-boarding. Assist in candidate interviews. Coordinate terminations.
• Coordinate and manage associate employee relations working with the community management team and Corporate Human Resources.
• Ensure all policies and programs at the community are adhered to including all State and County Health and Safety codes and Title 22.
• Manage and oversee all workers compensation incidents and claims as well as the community safety and wellness programs.
• Manage and coordinate all community training/education programs including: departmental training, stand-up meetings, certifications, first aid and any other State and Federally required training.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and attend community events as needed.
