• Performs other related duties to ensure quality holistic resident service.

1. Assists in the development of recreation and leisure services including program research development, implementation and evaluation as required.
2. Carries out established recreation programs including, but not limited to, outings, exercises, crafts, social events, entertainment, games, music, etc.
3. Assists in the completion and posting of monthly calendars and newsletters outlining programs and services available to residents/tenants and families as required.
4. Assists in the co-ordination of external groups to provide in-house programs as required.
5. Assists residents to, during, and from programs as required.
6. Assists, encourages, and motivates residents/tenants to participate in social, spiritual, physical, mental and cultural recreational activities.

14. Encourages residents/tenants as volunteers in their own community.
15. Performs other related duties as required.

Responsible for performing general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding Sunrise's quality standards. Such responsibilities include: - Maintaining the commercial laundry in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition. - Collecting, cleaning and redistributing the community laundry. - Properly sorting, washing and drying linens following the approved laundry procedures. - Responsible for trash collection and removal and maintaining trash receptacles and collection areas in a clean, sanitary manner. - Assists Care Givers and Department Leaders with resident care when requested.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the development and implementation of resident programming to meet individual psychosocial needs

• Ensures that all confidential records of the residents and staff meet federal and state regulations and company policy and procedures.
• Motivates employees through staff appreciation, recognition, and incentive programs. Promotes positive employee relations, addresses concerns timely and resolves concerns as quickly as possible.
• Oversees the community budget, providing guidance and training to department heads on the maintenance of the overall community budget.
• Monitors operations of the community on regular basis and prepares quality review audits and monthly variance reports.
• Maintains and facilitates open lines of communication.
• Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports in accordance to company policy or federal/state regulations as assigned by regional director of operations.
• Maintains outreach and education with the community to ensure positive relationship.
• Works to resolve issues identified by residents, family members, staff or outside representative. Keeps regional director up to date on developments.
• Oversees the building and grounds to ensure they are maintained in good repair, clean, free of trash and litter. Ensures that routine safety inspections and monthly fire drills are conducted on a routine basis.
